Thoughtless Thursday

Hello friends! Those of you who follow Life in Fulmer Lane know that it's....

Today's post is most definitely thoughtless but extremely important. This week my number 1a favorite show, Glee, ended for the summer. But don't start worrying about me yet because my number 1b favorite show just started! SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE!

I grew up dancing and was on my high school's dance team. I was never anywhere even close to being somewhere near the realm of talent these dancers have, but nonetheless I completely appreciate their talent and am beyond entertained by this show. If you don't watch it....START! Seriously, it's ridiculously amazing!!!

Usually, after the weeks of auditions (ala American Idol) the judges choose 20 contestants, 10 girls and 10 guys. The contestants are randomly paired together and each week learn a routine in a different style of dance. They perform the routine, the judges critique and then America votes for the individual dancers. On result night the bottom however many are revealed and they each "dance for their life." Meaning, they do a solo in their own style of dance and then based on the solo the judges decide who goes home. It's very exciting!

This season they're doing things a little differently....they have invited back 10 fan favorites from past seasons and are picking 10 new contestants (5 girls, 5 boys) and they will be paired together! AhhhhhhMAZING!!! However, it was too close of a race between the boys, so they picked 6....not sure how the 11 will work, but we'll soon find out! AND, my all-time favorite SYTYCD contestant is one of the returning dancers, TWITCH!

Twitch was the runner up in season 4 and is amazing. He is originally a hip hop dancer but grew lengths and bounds in other styles throughout the season. I am soooo excited to get to watch him dance again!

As for the 11 contestant this season, I already have my favorites! Of course.

 Lauren is a super cute normal amazingly talented girl from Phoenix, Arizona and if you saw her solo during Vegas week...you probably love her too. She's amazing! And she's only18! If she gets paired with Twitch my head might explode!!!

Kent is from a small town in Ohio and is unbelievable! He is a contemporary dancer and is hypnotizing to watch! He has an absolutely adorable personality and the best part....? He's super humble. He tried out for fun and for a challenge thinking there was no way he could ever make the show! He not only made it but is going to give everyone a run for their money!

I could talk about this show all day! But, since this is getting lengthy and I'm sure none of you care nearly as much as I do, I'll stop!
